After almost 1,5 years its coming together again – there are 4 tracks on the table and working hard on getting new inspiration. The work will be more minimal and yet more melodic.

MY DEBUT RELEASE
November 2022, Amsterdam – “Its here, finally!”
For the last couple of months I have working very hard in collecting material, writing and recording tracks. It has set me on another course of creative output and has opened another exhaust. I am massively thankful for all the support I have gathered along the way, from emotional to financial support. Without you this project would not be where it sits today and everything that is about to come. But first let’s celebrate this milestone, my first album. Prost!

ODENSE IS BORN
July 2022, Amsterdam – “Champaign!”
Project “Odense” is born! It took me a while to figure out all melodic patterns and ideas on how to merge various instruments, especially giving the synth a natural place. The solution? First I had to figure out an overall theme and went back to the drawing board to explore my own palette of sound based on a simple and personal concept. For this palette I searched for the right balance of sound and instruments combined with a minimal leaded melodic approach.

Previous projects (mountains on zoom and vonn)
September 2021, Amsterdam – “News”
I started a simple bedroom studio in Rotterdam under the name Mountains on Zoom as part of a recording experiment and created home-made samples from 2007 to 2009.
Some samples were later used for a project called “Vonn“, an experiment I did in my bedroom in Berlin from 2011 to 2019. Focussing on the blend of various synth Apps for tablets, Boss-App sampling, Reason App, semi-acoustic guitars, Spanish guitar and analog recordings. The recording experiments are all revolving around creating melodic harmonies with the help of a wide variety of tools and producing techniques. I draw inspiration from artists like: Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Lambert, AIR, Zero7 and Abfahrt Hinwil.
I am currently working on new music under the name “Odense” and keen on re-recording & producing the ideas from past recording sessions. The focus will be on combining past experiences and move into uncharted territory, combining classical instruments with various synths all wrapped with minimal melodies. Below some past experiments.
